We booked this cruise when Royal had their WOW sale, where the kids sail free. This was our first cruise with Royal Caribbean and we chose it over another cruise line after doing our research on which one was best for kids. We are so glad we chose Royal Caribbean's Harmony of the Seas, for our kids first cruise. We all had an amazing time and we can't wait to go back. We booked all of our shows and activities online months before our sail date. We chose My Time Dining but still made our reservations online. We never had to wait long to be seated. There was so much to see and do on this ship we couldn't do it all. In fact, we canceled two shows and one dinner reservation just to play catch up on rest. The shows we did make it to were pretty amazing. The food was really good. I was sad we missed the Chocolate Bar at the Windjammer, but we ate so much at lunch we just didn't have room. The ports we went to were beautiful. It's hard to choose a favorite, but I have to say, Perfect Day at Coco Cay was the best. I can't wait to go back.

We got to the terminal early and didn't mind the wait. It was a very smooth process.

Food and Dining

The MDR was the best! We chose My Time Dining and made the reservations online. Most of our dinners were at 5:15-5:30, but one night we had go to at 6:30 due to other things we had scheduled. We never had to wait in line more than 10minutes. Since we chose My Time Dining, we didn't have a set waiter/table/time, however, after the first night we liked our waiter so much we requested his table every time we went.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Windjammer was good. We also enjoyed breakfast at Johnny Rockets, they make delicious omelets. The only specialty dining we did was Izumi. It was good, but not what I was expecting. They don't serve 'yum yum' sauce like Mikatas back home.
Onboard Activities

We enjoyed playing on the Harmony Dunes a few times. We played table tennis and enjoyed it as well. My husband did the zip line twice, (I didn't since I was wearing sandals that day). The water slides were really fun. The pools were crowded but nice overall. The escape room was a neat experience.
Entertainment

We saw Grease and really enjoyed it. 1884 was really neat. It started off slow but by the end we were all cheering for the performers. They were amazing! The Fine Line was spectacular! It is definitely a must see! We had reservations to see Columbus and the Headliner but cancelled due to being so exhausted from everything else we did during the day. We just needed some down time. Lol The adult comedy show was hilarious.
Children's Programs

Adventure Ocean was really good with the kids. I give them 5 stars just for that. My children, however, didn't enjoy it as much as we had hoped. My son didn't like the music and my daughter missed us. We only made them go twice and that was only during activities they couldn't participate in with us like the escape room and the comedy show.
Service and Staff

The service we experienced with ship personnel was top notch! Our room steward did an amazing job. He created the cutest towel animals that my kids loved.
Ship Quality

The Harmony was very clean and well maintained. This ship is huge! I recommend studying the ship before you sail on it. It really helps. Also, the ship has interactive maps to help you find your way around.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Plenty of space! I've had an inside cabin before with another cruise line and remember how small it was. This room was much bigger and it had so much more storage space. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of outlets for keeping things charged.
Ship tip
Make reservations for dinners and shows BEFORE your sailing. Get to dinners and shows early to avoid long lines and to get good seats DURING your sailing. Most importantly, BE KIND to everyone you encounter, crew and passengers. Have fun and make memories!
No excursion. We took a water taxi to the beach. The locals are very kind yet persistent. One guy got us a couple of chairs with an umbrella for $25.
It was hard to relax when you had to say, 'No Thank You' every 5 minutes to the ladies that walk the beach selling necklaces, massages and things. I know this their way of life and they mean well, but there should be a limit on that. Lol I did buy a necklace and a towel bag. My husband and son paid $60 to ride the jet skis for half an hour. They had a blast.
