Took a taxi tour of both Dutch & French sides which we wouldn't ever do again. We did however rent beach chairs from the Jamaican Jerk where we had food and drinks that really made our day. Without finding the Jamaican Jerk we would've rated this island only 1 star.

Much of the island still shows a lot of hurricane damage. An obvious tourist location. We did the St. Martin by Land and Sea. If you don't wish to snorkel you will be uncomfortable and bored on the sea portion. There were two areas to snorkel and one had very few fish. Sandwich lunch means just that. Nothing else but a drink.

The city was a little dirty and we did not visit the beaches, but do be aware of the clothing optional areas. We stuck to shopping and the ship's shopping guides were a fantastic help with finding deals and haggling down prices. Do go to the shopping preview on the ship the day before because the information we received was great. All of the excursions at this port were ridiculously over priced, so I would shop then get back to the ship for pool time.
