Cancelled excursion. Informed of a taxi strike they may have an effect on excursion. Took water taxi to city. Many shops closed. Informed by locals that it was a holiday. No mention of that from the cruise line.

Scenic port. Did bus tour. Dropped off at shops that all had same items, would like to be left to shop more in town, do restaurants.

Not my favorite port. I would recommend an excursion. We just took the water taxi and had a drink at the Hard Rock Cafe. Lots of pressure to go into the shops...

The beach were the airplanes fly over is not even really a beach. It’s a small stretch of space that has about half of it covered with rocks. The waves in this day were trying to drown us. They were high and massive.

Just didn't find ANYTHING in the immediate port area to get excited about. Casinos were terrible. We did eat at a small French cafe in the immediate village area about a mile down the road (taxi @ $3/person). It was raining and we sat under a canopy outside. Server was great and food was just OK. Did not get to Maho airport because you really need to leave the ship by 9am to do that. Traffic on the island was hectic and it was also the May 1 holiday there, so many restaurants were closed. Would probably just stay on the ship next time.
