The island is a mess from the hurricane last year and rebuilding and cleanup seemed not to exist. All the other islands seem to be rebuilding but not here.

Beautiful island as well. Got an Island Tour to many beautiful places as well as Maho beach where the places fly real close to the beach to land. In the end of the tour we were left at the beach in Philipsburg where we spent the next 2 hours before walking back to the ship (10 mins)

Loved this island and will definitely go back. Stick with the cruise line excursions for the best options.

We took a taxi to the French side ad wandered around; had a delightful lunch at a Creole restaurant. It is still recovering from the hurricane so there is still a lot of work occurring.

Nothing much to do unless you book an excursion. Plus, our time was short. Still areas where the hurricane hit.
