Review summary

Everything was great. The only thing that needs a little tweaking is the assistance at the Next Cruise. I felt as is the staff did not want to help me book another cruise with Royal so I didn't. There was no love here.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
This was the easiest and fastest embarkation! No long lines or wait time. I was able to walk up check in and go to the ship in a total of 15 minutes!! Every cruise line should be this smooth.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The main dining room was laid out very nicely and upscale for other cruises. We didn't try the specialty restaurants due to prices. The buffets had the same thing every day. I was not that impressed. The best thing about this ship was prior to eatting everyone had to wash their hands with Soap and Water!!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The activities in which I participated in was the abyss, zipline, merry-go-round, ice skating, adult pool area, BINGO, casino, dance class etc. Awesome for the ones that I participated in.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We enjoyed the parades and even the performance during Halloween. I performed a dance during Halloween. I feel there needs to be a better setup because the crowd would not let the dancers through in time and I fell trying to get through.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was nice, polite and friendly. Someone was always trying to help. When I was at dinner and there was something that I did eat, the waiters would go and provide me with my choice.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was spotless! Compared to others. The bathrooms were always clean and smelled good. It was easy for us to understand the ship because we have been on the Oasis of the Seas.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The bed wasn't so comfortable. We had a king bed. Our cabin stayed clean however I believe the steward only changed the pillows and not the sheets. The same stain for the first night was there for the entire cruise.

Ports of call

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

3 out of 5
Nothing much to do unless you book an excursion. Plus, our time was short. Still areas where the hurricane hit.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

3 out of 5
A lot of shops and people. Our time was cut extremely short by the cruise line. We only had five hours to tour the island. Once again if you do not book any excursions, then it's only shopping and walking.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

4 out of 5
The private island of Royal Caribbean with a beautiful view and beaches. Very minimal activities. I tried to do the dragon's tail coaster for unlimited and the guy would not sell it to me. He wanted me to pay for the single ride, not worth it a lot all for a single. I was very disappointed.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Quick and to the point. We were out of our rooms and off the ship in less than 10 minutes!!!! I love it!!

Please complete your survey and provide specifics. Royal reads them and follows up.

If your bed is too hard ask your room attendant for a comfy pad.

I had different experience. They were great for me . Book 2 more cruises. Got on board spending money and the deposit was really cheap

It’s funny you say that, we have experienced similar frustrations with next cruise. Doesn’t seem to make a lot of sense and doesn’t do much for their image. To be fair, we have also run into some outstanding agents there as well.✌️
