Another port we have visited many time but this time we chose to do an excursion thru Princess and did the Chair lift and Flying Dutchman! This is a former estate with a few buildings and very small museum, but the attraction is the chairlift that takes you up the mountain and then you ZIP line down (about 45 seconds!) Amazing views from the top and there is a bar/restaurant at the bottom where you can just relax and enjoy the views while you wait for transportation back to the ship.

Pinel Island is gorgeous, but too far from the ship. We just went right off the boat to the closest beach and ate at "The Blue Bitch Bar" which was clean and delicious! We had ribs and fried plantains which were reasonably priced.

This was our second favorite port . Although the roads were in terrible shape, our taxi driver was the best, driving us from the Dutch side to the French side in a matter of a few hours. We first went to Orient Beach where we encountered our first nude sunbathers. We rented kayaks and paddled out to an island and had an enjoyable day. The water was beautiful and warm. We then went to Maho Beach where the airplanes fly directly over your head before landing at the local airport. For our children, this was a highlight. We then went shopping and coouldn't believe the great prices for liquor, jewelry, electronics and linens. We wisshed we had done a bit more research in this area before arriving there.
