Still recovering from damage & many of the resort beaches are closed. We took a taxi to a nicer beach (skip the water taxi, the beach there isn't nice). We ended up on a kayak & snorkel excursion & it was a lot of fun!

Golden Eagle Sailaway & Swim - great catamaran, pleasant crew and beautiful waters. Snorkeling first near a shipwreck then swimming and beach time. The perfect combo! The boat anchors and you need to swim to the beach, less confident swimmers should wear a life vest or use a noodle. The crew brought a cooler to the beach so refreshments could be enjoyed. Fabulous excursion!

We did the top10 of Sint Maarten, which we don’t recommend as the description and sites didn’t match up and we were far from what we wanted to see. Spent rest of day on Great Bay beach and took the water taxi back to ship and that was the greatest day! Next time will just do that.

Maho beach of course! Aka airport beach. Some caution though, do not go into the water if you’re not a strong swimmer, the waves throw you around even when an airplane is not there. Also do not face the runway to take a picture of a plane taking off. They amount of heat, wind and sand that gets kicked up is insane!

Need to rent a car and tour the island and have lunch at the Kontiki restaurant on the St Martin side.

I have nothing bad to say about Sint Maarten. Best beaches, lovely town of Phillipsburg and the locals are amazing. Wife and I decided to return for a week and we stayed at the Sonesta Maho Beach resort .. simply amazing
