We had so much fun here, rented a scooter and went all around shopping, eating, sight seeing. Only drawback was that we usually bring back something made locally at all of our ports but we were told by many locals that they do not make anything local, unfortunately all or most items are brought in from the U.S. or Asia. Still had a wonderful time and we would recommend eating at Iguana Joes.

Morning Booked Celebrity tour Aruba Sailaway Beach & Snorkel Cruise. Artilla shipwreck snorkel was cool. Food at Palm Beach Bar for a BBQ lunch was awesome.

I chose a island tour with the tour guy outside the terminal. He was good, tell us a lot of history etc about the island. But the light house and Rock Foundation was not worth visiting in my opinion. The Beach was beautiful, and NO BEGGARS AND SELLERS. I was impressed. There are lots of watches and jewels shopping there, but I didn't go.

Unless you want to buy jewelry, skip downtown, and head directly to one of the big resort hotels and stay there for the day (it's worth the extra $$), or book an excursion.........very little sight seeing , and pretty poor area south of the port of call. I heard the deep sea diving was good, but it's not our thing.

We took a tour and was very interesting, an old gold mine, beautiful waters. The downtown area seemed very touristy and upscale, will visit there next time, if there is a next time. Aruba is somehow like a desert in the Caribbean, barren, sandy, not lush green like one might expect.
