Gorgeous island. We were told it is the scuba diving capital of the world. We took a taxi to Spice/Eden Beach for $2.50 US per person each way to the beach and rented snorkeling gear when we got there. Plenty of fish to see snorkeling right from beach. There is a hotel/restaurant/pool & bar right there on the beach available for use as well as beach lounge chairs available for rent for $5 per day. We had a great time. This would be a difficult beach to be at for the day if you had small children. Very rocky/coral coast so you are not able to slowly walk into the water or play in any shallow areas. We got in the water from a small dock on the beach which was immediately over our heads when we got in. Although we loved this beach I would not recommend it to anyone with small children.

Took the fully narrated "Mangroves Flamingoes and Beach Stop" tour sold by the ship, The guide was very knowledgeable and the driver of our "Safari Bus" was competent and cheerful. This bus was completely open air and about 3/4 size of a standard school bus. We were wind blown, bounced a lot on the uneven roads and trails, and I loved every minute. We saw many flamingoes in several places, donkeys, goats, birds and two horses. Our beach stop at Lac Bay was quiet, unspoiled, beautiful and had so many wonderful photo opportunities. Some people swam and snorkeled in the clear, beautiful water while others strolled on the beach and enjoyed the opportunity to meditate.

This was my favorite port. Friendly and beautiful. I loved the homemade items local sold. I bought a bracelet. Then went to the pier beach next to ship and just went swimming it was gorgeous

Bonaire was surprisingly the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen. We took a tour to the Salt Flats and then went swimming at Sonobo Beach all day. The bar was decent, the food was good and I enjoyed myself the most on this island. We got to try wind surfing and spotted Flamingos! It was my favorite island on the itinerary

One of our favorite excursions. We rented golf carts ($90/double, $100/4). Were able to tour around the island at our leisure. The salt flats, pink water and flamingos were fascinating. Snorkeled a bit at 1,000 steps (there are actually 44 steps to the ocean at the diving spot). Water is amazing blue.

If you’re a scuba diver, this is your port! I’ve visited Bonaire many times on land tours and scuba diving is fantastic. At the same time, if you are snorkeler, you will see healthy coral as well as great fish variety.

We just got back from an 8 day cruise on the Sunshine...went to Aruba, Bonaire and Grand Turk. We did the snorkel excursion at Bonaire. We didn't book through Carnival. We got off the ship and walked to the right, found the water taxi (catamaran) and only paid $20. It was $40 with Carnival. We went to no name beach and it was the best ever place we have ever snorkelled.... lots of brightly colored, beautiful fish and coral!! Loved it!!

The best of the best! People are very helpful, everywhere on the island. Went to Spice Beach for the day. $2.50 cab ride. $5.00 chairs. Not much of a beach but a nice dock to get in water...incredible displays of aquatic life feet from shore, not a good bathing beach, (you have to swim). Staff is attentive and friendly....good food and drinks, very reasonable. Small pool and a dive shop top the list of amenities. Never had the feeling I was getting fleeced. A great experience!
