Review summary

Love this ship, itinerary. Will cruise this one again. Perfect weather every day, super smooth at water. Royal Caribbean and Celebrity remain our top cruise favorites.

Embarkation

Long embarkation. Once we boarded found out that the CDC has been onboard and needs to give the “all clear” before we could board.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was good, service was excellent but slow. Serviers have too many tables to take care of. We had to wait a couple of days for our original early dining assignment to be corrected, but after my hubby when up thto chain of command, we had our early dining by the 3rd day of th cruise.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Solarium was beautiful, but chairs were at a premium. RC has started tagging chairs and giving chairs to other passenger if they are left for more than 30 minutes. In my opinion they should make it 45minutws to an hour. It takes this long to eat sometimes.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We were delighted to see that RC finally had a classic rock and pop band on the ship. This had been non-existent on other RC cruises we had been on. Really enjoyed the band C Wind.

Children's Programs

Not many kiddos on the ship, so our grandchildren ages 10 and 13 just hung with the family.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward and dining room server were excellent. One thing we could do without though. Seems like every evening our server reminded us to fill the survey RC would be sending post cruise and make sure we told them ahead of time if we were not able to give them the highest rating. It got old.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Nice design. Enjoyed the Promenade. Need to increase Solarium area and add more lounge chairs.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Great cabin. Good location, quiet and well layed out, good storage.

Ship tip

Confirm your dining time with your cruise planner or travel agent a few days before you cruise.

Mambo Beach Baby! Fun, but crowded

Kralendijk, Bonaire

One of our favorite excursions. We rented golf carts ($90/double, $100/4). Were able to tour around the island at our leisure. The salt flats, pink water and flamingos were fascinating. Snorkeled a bit at 1,000 steps (there are actually 44 steps to the ocean at the diving spot). Water is amazing blue.

Oranjestad, Aruba

Aruba is our favorite port. Upscale area. We went to Flamingo Island, a private island owned by Renaissance Resort. If they have availability you can purchase a day pass for $99 pp, it many time they do not have availability, so we always buy a room to make sure we can get to the island. They room rate (least expensive) was $207, so just a few $ more than the day pass for 2. The resort is just a few blocks from where the ship ports. You can check in I. The morning when the ship arrives and have full access to Flamingo Island and hotel pools and amenities, but your room isn’t guaranteed until 4pm. This is my all time favorite resort and place to hand in Aruba. This beach and water are amazing. Rent a memory foam float order your favorite beverage and float the day away while listening the the crashing of the waves on the barrier reef. An amazing day.

Disembarkation

We chose self assist as we had a flight out at 10:45. It was a breeze. Off thto ship by 7:30, arrived at the airport by 7:45am. We could have easily had a flight that departed an hour earlier.
