The port was nice, did a tour of island. It was hard to understand the tour guide with her thick accent but could understand most of what she said.

Beaches here were very poor. It looked like they just threw some sand on top of a pile of rocks because they were water front and called it a beach. We did some shopping and ate some very good food which raised the rating.

Took a tour of the island for $40 for 4hrs from locals. They wanted to fill van with 6-8 before they would take us on a tour. Saw volcano, rain forest, small streams,up steep mountains.Stopped at a rum factory, it was kind of nice. Close to cruise ship were vendors with some hand crafted items) Also our driver showed us a tree that had cinnamon on the bark. He peeled a piece off the bark and let us smell it. It was nice to see where cinnamon came from.

Pretty little island. Not crazy about the art deco hotel at the pier, it detracts from the waterfront. Enjoyed walking about town, shops and interesting streets, somewhat of a language barrier with vendors.

We arrived in Martinique on a sunday. Al the shops were closed and the town looked empty. We took a boot to another side of the island were we had an icecream (in one of the few placed that was open) and a drink and went back to the ship.

This was our first visit and we took the tour from the ship. Again, it is a beautiful country, very small and only a little better than Barbados. We were not impressed and stayed on the bus at the rum factory. Our only complaint is that the bus driver should have been advised that two disabled people were coming on board and seating should have been saved for us. The walk from the ship to the bus was very long and we were the last two people to board.
