Review summary

For the most part the island we visited were very nice, had been to a couple of them on last years journey cruise. The trip home was not pleasant as there was storm which slowed us down we were a day late getting back to Baltimore and spent 2 days in pretty rough seas. Would have been more enjoyable if we could have spent another day in the Caribbean or Florida and then cruised back to avoid the rough seas.

very quick at getting us on the ship

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The main dinning room was good, the buffets didn't have as much variety as they have in the past

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Played trivia, spent time in Serenity adults only area.

3 out of 5
The stage shows were the same as the previous cruises we have taken, would be nice to get some new shows.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Waiters and room stewards were good. The fun squad did a good job at keeping us entertained.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship design was good and kept clean. There are some issues with the ship showing its age with leaks in places on deck 2.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The room as clean and comfortable.

Ports of call

Frederiksted, St. Croix, U.S.V.I.

5 out of 5
The port was nice, we did a tour of the island which was nice. Not the standard shops that you see at all the other Caribbean ports due to not getting many cruise ships.

Basseterre, St. Kitts

4 out of 5
The port was nice, we did a tour of the island which was nice and informative. Some of the locals at the port were rude as one knocked my wife's visor off and smacked the back of her head because she wouldn't give him money.

Fort-De-France, Martinique

5 out of 5
The port was nice, did a tour of island. It was hard to understand the tour guide with her thick accent but could understand most of what she said.

Bridgetown, Barbados

4 out of 5
The port was nice, we did a tour of the island. The excursion was terrible 5 1/2 wasted hours as the sound system on the bus didn't work and we couldn't understand anything the driver was telling us. The first time we have ever complained to the ship about an excursion.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
Nice port, didn't do an excursion. Took the water taxi over to town and spent the day on the beach. The beach was very nice.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
San Juan was a very nice port, could walk to lots of interesting sites from the cruise terminal. We did an excursion tour of the island, it was very nice and informative. The driver/guide was awesome.

Grand Turk Island

3 out of 5
The port is ok, not much to do at the port. Did not do an excursion as we have been to the island in the past and did then. The beach at the port is nice, just a little rocky in places, the water was amazingly clean. The locals were charging too much for an umbrella and chairs as the ones the cruise terminal provides were full when we got there, waited for one of them to open up.

It was slow getting off the ship but it always is with Carnival Pride.
