Loved our glass bottom kayak tour! The beach was very rocky, so it was hard to go in to snorkel. It would have been nice if they had mentioned to bring water shoes to this excursion

All of the excursions I wanted were filled months before the cruise left and so we were hoping to get there and rent scooters or snorkeling gear and just be our own guide. Unfortunately it was the Queens birthday and every place was CLOSED. So there were thousands of cruisers wondering around the dock. We talked to locals and they said the party was in Renton so we got a cab to take us there for $25.00. It was a street party with people who were making all kinds of food, what I have no idea what it was as we could not read the signs, could not tell what the food was and no one spoke English OR took American money. So we wondered up and down the street and saw the dancers, singers and costumes. Then we sat at the bus stop and got a ride back for $5.00. So it was back to the ship for us. This island was very clean and we would have liked to done more but who would have looked up national holidays in the Netherlands?????

Bonaire via Carnival was bad. Beach resort employees didn't want us to be there & instructed us not to interfere with their resort guests. We felt like unwelcome outsiders. Ocean could only be accessed from a floating pier with fire coral danger. Everything cost $5 minimum. Only 1 drink included

For something a little bit different, sail on an authentic Siamese sailing junk that is beautifully decorated with Thai antiques. Stop at Klein Bonaire, an uninhabited island where you can snorkel or relax on the beautiful white sandy beach.

Take the Muswhi Mushi catamaran scenic sail to Bonaire's Marine Park for snorkeling. Explore the coral reefs.

If you enjoy off road adventures, take a UNIMOG vehicle through the countryside. Visit the blowhole and termite nest. Hopefully the flamingos are out in the Mangrove area. See the donkeys, goats and birds. Be sure to stop at a beach to cool off.
