Review summary

Very disappointing. Began with first delay of evacuation of a passenger. Kept awake many nights by loud engine noises to later find out the engine failed and we wouldn't be stopping at 2 ports. Miserable being out to sea for 6 days with the same repetitive activities. I expected at least a partial refund for the inconvenience after sending a request to customer service. Guest care service agent GARY RODRIGUEZ replied basically telling me that I'm not entitled to any refund for the cruise. Overall I felt like the entire cruise was a waste of valuable time and money. It's a shame that Carnival chooses to offer a small gift of as compensation for this terrible experience which was of no fault of mine. Returning $69 for port charges was not a gift, it belonged to me since I didn't visit the ports. I paid $1400 for two passengers and we spent nearly an additional $5000 on board. All we received was a mere $200 on board credit, that is insulting and appalling. I will never cruise with Carnival again so 25% off the next cruiseis of no valueto me either. .

We were on the same cruise and had a great time. Slept great, didn't have to cook. No sirens going by the house like at home all hours if the Nighy. It was a very relaxing cruise. Just what we needed. Plus we don't do the casino at all. We actually made money on the cruise. $168 back from the $200 that they gave us and 25% off our next cruise, we can book a suite for close to what we paid for our balcony.

This policy can also be found in Section 7 of your Cruise Ticket Contract.

Again you got read small fine prints they don't have give refunds or credit for any reason they can't control.. Plus passengers come first... If they have to port or medevac a passenger or doctor get off ship sometime they may give you credit..

We were on this cruise and had a great time. It's all in how good or bad you want to make it. We've never been to any of these islands. Now we have an excuse to book again and see what we missed. Cheer up, at least we're cruising again!

Please reread the cruise contract you agreed with before getting on the ship. Carnival isn’t required to compensate you for your inconvenience. Yes, I would be equally frustrated but I know what I am entitled to.

I too was on this cruise, i had an aft balcony on deck 2. Other than an occasional "boom" i didn't hear much🤷‍♀️ the only thing that really bothered me was the constant complaining of missing the ports and the compensation for missed ports. We found plenty to do to entertain ourselves, the staff did an amazing job throwing together alot of last minute entertainment/ activities to keep us busy. I guess the old saying is true, "misery loves company". Due to 5 sea day brunches instead of 3, they did run out of strawberry jelly😭😭 we had a great time hanging on deck 11 chatting with other happy people.

With the cruise contract you got exactly what you should have and then some. You still got the cruise even if you didn't get the port days. I guess we should all thank you for your lovely donation of 5000 to help keep the line going. I cannot imagine spending that much on board

Thanks for the review. Missed ports / itinerary changes can & do happen for a variety of reasons. As stated in the passenger contract everyone must agree to when booking, it states that the itinerary is not guaranteed. No compensation is required for changes to the itinerary, but most cruise lines offer something, but some will never be happy.

Passenger emergencies are a bummer but I try to be thankful it isn't me or my party. Question, how did you spend 5000 on board? Do more research and/ or wait until pandemic is over.
