I just walked around the port area which wasn't very interesting. But I heard the Virgin Gourd is worth going to.

Just did the beach day here. Needed a day to relax. A large Jeep-type vehicle takes you from port to the other side of the island (big-ass hill to climb was super-fun), so you see a lot of the island before parking at the beach. Beach has umbrellas (and chairs without), as well as cocktail delivery to your chair. Tell Tony Baloney to give you a good deal on a Painkiller. They're only $4, and delicious.

Nothing special. The beach we visited as part of a Port Adventure had a funny smell. The roads were very steep and narrow, and, our tour vehicle was not in the best state of repair.

We rented a taxi and took a trip to the highest point on the island. Views were amazing. Trip was very inexpensive and driver was informative and friendly.

Again took a taxi to a local beach ($14 each way). Chair free for the day--rented snorkeling equipment for $10 all day) Snorkeling right from the beach. Great food--the guy actually made frozen drinks using a blender he had running off his car battery! While we were there, 3 different "Sail and Snorkel" from the ship stopped here to disgorge the folks from the ship for a 40 minute snorkel.

I didn't find much variety in the shopping around the port, it was mostly jewelry which I have no interest in. I was looking for a t-shirt and found only one store with t-shirts and the biggest shirts they had were large, I wanted extra-large.

My husband and I went to the dolphin encounter program here. He loved interacting with the dolphins. I enjoyed breathtaking views of the ocean and various sailboats. On our way back from the dolphin facility the bus driver let us off on a back street to the spice shop. I was in heaven there. Tea blends, Caribbean spices and of course fresh nutmeg. While the location is on a back alleyway we felt completely safe. And then enjoyed a leisurely walk back to the port. I would give the experience 5 stars if it wasn’t for an accounting issue where I was charged for participating in the dolphin experience. We arrived back at the ship and they had charged me for the swim part. I would have happily paid for it if I had participated but as I did not... well it took over 24 hours to correct the problem. Not sure how it was miscommunicated.
