We rented a car at the pier and drove up to Mountain Top for a view of Megan's Bay and a few trinkets. Then we drive up to Paradise Point. What a view! Had some nachos and a Bushwhacker drink...yum!!! I can understand why they sell over a million if those drinks each year! Then we drove to Sapphire Beach which was beautiful! The total cost for the car rental was under $55 US, so a very reasonable day cost wise. Note: they drive on the left...not too difficult. You just have to constantly think, left! :)

Did not do an excursion, took a cab across the island and met a private boat charter (Blue Line Yacht Charters). The took us around the islands and snorkeling and it's amazing. The island is easy enough to get around by can the excursions seem pointless.

The hurricanes smashed this place up a bit so its not pristine as far as the eye can see, but its still beautiful. I took the braver boys with me to do flyboarding and it was great. The staff at the place was incredibly accommodating as they taught us to basically fly a hoverboard 30 feet above the ocean. I highly recommend it. The rest of the family did a pirate history tour that was very interesting and entertaining. They had a spot on Jack Sparrow impersonator there and the kids loved it.

Here you are the Princess. Shop. Go to the beach. Venture into the little flea-market style shopping area close to where the buses drop you off and pick you up to go back to port. Look for the little bar down an alley with a view of the ocean. Look for the little bar in another alley, but no outlet on the other end. They were quiet places that the locals frequent. Good atmosphere, great conversation, and interesting people.

This was the best cruise I have been on. The ship is amazing!! I will definitely cruise with NCL again. They are by far the best I’ve been on. We loved the Escape. Plenty to do and experience.

Consider taking a taxi to Coki beach... it's beautiful and less crowded

I've been to St Thomas before and visited Magen's Bay the first time. A bad storm had just hit the island this time so many of the beaches and excursions were cancelled. Did some shopping around in the port and then ended up catching a taxi and going to a hotel and camped out on their beach.

HELPPP MY FELLOW CRUISERS.. .. Has anyone visited St. Thomas beaches? Can you tell me the difference between Sapphire Beach, Coki Beach & Magen’s Beach? Do they each offer Jet Ski, Parasailing etc… Which is the largest and cleanness? Which is less populated?

Always fun to see the city of real life. I have toured here 2 other times. Learn the history. Safe area. Read below about both island ports.
