Rent a jeep or car from Budget and go off on your own. Magens Bay is great, but Sapphire Beach is just as pretty and empty. There is zero reason to walk and shop in St Thomas. The same things are repeated a dozen times each.

Rented a car through Avis and toured the island on our own. Checked out beaches, Drake’s Seat, the Mountain Top plus did some shopping and grabbed lunch. Still lots of hurricane damage but lots of rebuilding going on. It was nice to drive on our own but the roads are narrow and extremely steep in some places. If we go again, we’ll know to rent a Jeep!

Taxi to Magens Bay. Great ride to other side of mountain. Spectacular views, beautiful beach but expensive compared to all the others but well worth it

Beautiful, clear warm water is the highlight here. We did a snorkeling excursion to St. John. But if you have time (and we did), make sure to take the cable cars up to Paradise Point. The views, both on the ride up and down and from the top of the mountain, are breathtaking and well worth the $21 per person price.

St. Thomas is one of my absolute favour ports of call! We just took a taxi to Magen’s Bay and spent the day at the beach. We rented a few chairs and a floaty which were very reasonably priced! Magen’s Bay is beautiful and i definitely recommend it, even though it can get pretty crowded.
