Had a very nice time at Magens Beach. The rocky area at the far right end of the beach had many fish to play and feed.

We were there with the msc seaside in april. At home we booked an excursion with Sunfari. This was the best stop we had in that week. With a jeep the guide showed us around and stopped at every beautiful spot to take pictures or a beach break. They brought a peddle board that we could use and snorkeling stuff.

We took an excursion to Magen’s Bay, but took a taxi back to port because we wanted to stay longer. This beach was absolutely one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever been to!

Both St. Thomas and St. Maarten are still recovering from hurricanes 18 months ago. Glad we visited because that is what the island needs in order to recover financially. It is still going to take a couple more years for the repairs to be finished.

The Pirate's Chest, now Pirate's Adventures, has moved from the top of the tram to the foot, and is worth getting off the ship, all by itself. If you're there for the museum, the gift shop, or both, you'll get more than your money's worth. A conversation with Sean, alone, is worth the visit. A must-have souvenir is a pendant made from a coin that is real pirate treasure with a bloody and haunting story behind it (the Island of the Dead). You'll pay about $1400 US, but a similar coin I bought in 2007 for about the same price has now doubled in value.

The water is fantastic, especially when you snorkel and view sea turtles!
