I was disappointed with this port because if you do not have an excursion booked then there is not much to do except walk around the shops. I was looking forward to swimming here but all the beaches were on the other side of the island not within walking distance.

Enjoyed our visit.. However, we spent quite a bit to get to Magen’s Beach... so packed we had a drink and left. My advice would be a tour to see the Island... not aa direct ride to the beach.

We took a taxi to Lindquist beach to enjoy a quiet beach day. There was hardly nobody at this beach because it doesn't have any rental facilities/restaurant/amenities. The only thing here are bathroom/changing facilities and picnic tables. We brought drinks and snacks with us and had a nice time. Just beware of the sand fleas.

St Thomas wasn't too bad, but with small children I couldn't go out exploring very far, and the shops near the harbor didn't interest me. There were a lot of jewelry shops where you can buy expensive watches and jewels at a discount. Who knows if they're legit or not though. There were lots of liquor shops and cigar stores. If you're from the US and want Cuban cigars you can buy them there. Other than that there really isn't much else to see.

We did a sightseeing tour of the island which was very nice. Still lots of hurricane damage. Lots of jewelry shops if you like that type of thing. Megan Bay was beautiful from hilltop observation area but very crowded when you actual got to the beach.

Love the history here and the locals! We got a local to give us a ride up to the Mountain Top to grab their famous Banana Daiquiris. Don’t miss out on this beautiful island.
