It is a beach stop. There were many bars and ample food stations and restrooms. If you don't mind walking some, go to the 2nd or 3rd beach instead of camping right at beach #1 like the rest of the herd. The other beaches were near empty, with lots of loungers available. The tenders are the typical pain, and one can only hope NCL eventually builds a pier (as it appeared Royal Caribbean has at their adjacent island).

2 ships were here. Sun and the Sky were anchored off the island. Found some good shells. Water is nice. There are rocks in the water. They have a zip line for you adventure seekers. I did stingrays city. I’m 5 foot 3 inches tall and the water went to my chest, I say that because I can’t see any kids doing this - the water is too deep. A lady told me that Carnival’s stingrays excursion is better because water only goes to your waist.

Best part of the trip. Lots to enjoy. We did the snorkeling excursion. It was fun, but the staff were not very enthusiastic about doing their job. The group made our on fun. The life gaurd was very good & helpful. When returning from snorkeling to get back to the ship the security personal & boat shuttle crew were less then friendly, but other then taht The Great Stirrup Cay was great. Buffet food exactly the same as what was on ships buffet.

Beautiful. Water so clear but a little chilly. Snorkeling was good but you have to go out a fair distance to the rocks to see anything worthwhile (if your not a good swimmer, get a life jacket), did see a turtle, lifeguards on duty, plenty of space and chairs. Plenty of bars that are spread out so one is close no matter where you sit. Tacos or buffet to choose from. Shade by trees if you get of boat early. Wave runners were a blast and accommodating if you are experienced or beginner. Construction still going on and nothing new done yet. Tendering: book a tender using iconcierge app or on the touch screens by the elevators when you board. If you have an excursion, no need for a tender because your ticket is your tender ticket. Get to assigned meeting spot for tenders early to get on first because a line forms (meeting area will be listed in the daily). Tenders were nice and only a 5-7 min ride. Rough waters 2 weeks ago but nice and calm last week. Wheelchairs available when you get off the tender with big wheels for the sand.
