We took this trip because we needed a break after experiencing five losses within a very short timeframe. It was just what the doctor ordered: pleasant, affordable and relaxing. We love cruising with NCL. Royal Caribbean is nice and has larger ships but cannot match the great service and cleanliness Norwegian offers. If you are interested in great port destinations, consistently pleasant shore excursions and clean accommodations, NCL fits the bill.

We only dined in the buffets and cafes but the food was very good and full of options. The only disappointment was the ice cream. It tasted like frozen skim milk and only came in chocolate vanilla and strawberry.

Our cabin steward, Dennis, was super attentive; he treated us as though he was our personal butler and we were in a suite. When he learned our room service order arrived late, he arranged for us to receive chocolate covered strawberries in the room when we came aboard from the next port. We named him our vacation hero. I believe NCL has the best customer service, cleaning and service staff. They are so helpful and pleasant.

Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin included a couch that folded out as a twin bed. We used it as a chaise lounge and it was handy for placing luggage to pack. The room was very clean and had the best balcony view onboard. The view alone justified the price.
Ship tip
This ship is perfect for free-style cruising. You don’t have to attend any formal events unless that is your thing. It’s the perfect ship of you need R&R. Not a lot on onboard shipping but that suited us fine.
This port was excellent because of The scrumptious food catered by NCL. The beach was overcrowded but I didn’t mind so much because the food was out of this world delicious 😋!
My first NCL cruise , normally do RCL , So if you choose to dress up are there separated events or dining areas? Or will we be dressed up sitting next to folks in Jean's and t shirts?.thanks
