you go with other excursion guests so you have to wait for everyone else to 1) show up 2) sign waiver forms, 3) put on their wet suits & life vests etc. when on the water, you had to ride in a "line" behind the jet ski ahead of you and keep a certain amount of space (i.e. if the person in front of you is very slow, you can't increase your speed). I would have wanted the time spent on the water to last longer (I believe it was 30min, my friend thinks it was around 45min). A lot of time was spent going over safety instructions as well. They had BBQ on the beach so you don't have to go back to the ship to eat.

This port has the same perks as onboard your ship, but the bars are far more crowded and if another ship is there it can be impossible to get a beach chair. It is not very developed yet so expect there to be limited activities.

Rented a new villa at Silver Cove. Was the BEST! Had the perfect day. So quiet and private. The area is stunning and a must to see. The private buffet was very good and the staff treated us so well.

Arrived in the evening-hoped to get a tender before sunset-but that didn't happen. It was dark by the time we got on. Big beach party that night-only prob there is that by the time they got set up it was quite late-10ish & the last tender back was I think midnight. So not a lot of time to really party. Next day went over early & rented a huge raft-well worth the money & don't feel bad if you don't get a nice lounger-we spent nearly the entire time on the raft. Would have LOVED to stay at this port longer-it was just beautiful. Food was ok-a lil cold-drinks expensive-but given the location-it was all worth it! Def bring some insect spray-got bit my some noseeums or sand lice the night of the beach party-legs STILL itching!

The Great Stirrup Cays were a complete desaster. The Bahamas are supposedly one of the most beautiful places in the Caribbean. The part of the island that you brought us to was so ugly and inconvenient in comparison to other places. First thing we saw upon arrival to the place: containers. The beach was completely artificial (carved out somehow), facing the wrong side and having a much too steep incline. For a  perfect beach and tanning experience the beach needs to face south and be very flat. Access to the water needs to be unobstructed. Here we had a rough ground and underwater stones, steep decline and the beach facing north.
