We had great weather & enjoyed the cruise immensely! It was our 1st cruise & we are hooked. Did everything go 100% smoothly? Of course not-there were a few lil issues-but all resolved & all done swiftly. Darin the cruise director put it perfectly on day 1-there are those people who will complain & find the bad in everything or those who will enjoy themselves no matter what! We are the latter! We all came away with such great memories & will definately be doing it again!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We ate in the 2 main restaurants the most. Enjoyed Windows the most as it was more spacious & the 3 windows at the back were outstanding. The waiters & waitresses were excellent-very friendly & helpful & especially made a fuss over my 6yr old son which he loved!
Entertainment
3 out of 5
There was a nice variety of things to do-but sometimes the better of the entertainment conflicted with each other. But there is something for everyone & we enjoyed ourselves very much! Would have liked more time at Great Stirrup Cay.
Children's Programs
5 out of 5
This trips highlight was the "Kids Crew" program. My son LOVED being there-never wanted to leave & the counselors were all fun, friendly & took great care with the kids. Sometimes we thought the kids had a better schedule than we did! HUGE thumbs up to everyone involved there-keep up the great work!
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Really thought the world of the crew! All helpful, friendly & w/ a smile on their faces. Darin the cruise director was a lot of fun-Ray Ray-was nice, but his sense of fun seemed forced-still didn't affect our trip at all.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
I had read before going by other reviewers that the ship was worn-needed updating, etc... but we found it to be decorated well thru-out. There were a few areas where part of the ceiling in an elevator was missing or there mirrored columns could have used a shining up...but overall everything was fine. The overall decor is stylish, elegant & kept very clean.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
We had a balcony cabin deck 10-aft & altho compact it was clean & comfortable. You definately have to keep your things put away-it can get cluttered quite quickly. It wasn't too noisy & there was only slight motion some of the time.
Long walk off the pier-they did have carts but line too long. It took about 15mins. As soon as you venture out the terminal you are kind of swarmed by local offers. We just walked around town & went to the pirate museum. Not very far from the terminal. Would have liked a guided tour thru-but it wasn't that necessary. Only $12 for the adults to get in-my son got in for free! The town is a lil gritty-but lots of shops w/ fairly good prices.
Arrived in the evening-hoped to get a tender before sunset-but that didn't happen. It was dark by the time we got on. Big beach party that night-only prob there is that by the time they got set up it was quite late-10ish & the last tender back was I think midnight. So not a lot of time to really party. Next day went over early & rented a huge raft-well worth the money & don't feel bad if you don't get a nice lounger-we spent nearly the entire time on the raft. Would have LOVED to stay at this port longer-it was just beautiful. Food was ok-a lil cold-drinks expensive-but given the location-it was all worth it! Def bring some insect spray-got bit my some noseeums or sand lice the night of the beach party-legs STILL itching!

We decided not to opt for the excursions-only wanted to go to Cocoa Beach so we saved ourselves $80 for the shuttle & took a cab for $13 1 way & $10 the other. Clean port-friendly security. My son hurt himself & was crying & a local policeman saw this & came over & offered him a deputy badge to cheer him up! Made his day!
