Took a taxi to Junkanoo Beach club and spent a few hours on the beach. It was very nice and not crowded at all.

Freeport has been so badly damaged by hurricanes over the last several years. They are trying to recover - we recommend Taina Beach. Not one recommended by the cruise lines - more of a "locals" beach - lovely, good food, water toys and friendly people.

I think this island gets a bad rap. Lol We did the brewery/perfume tour and had a wonderful time. Tiny , the tour guide was a blast and the beer was great and free flowing. Didn't stay at the beach but from what I saw, the water was beautiful and I would like to spend time there if I ever go back. You need to venture away from the port area to get a better representation of the Island.

We chose an excursion at this port which took us to a beach 30 minutes from port. I highly recommend it! There are plenty of chairs, umbrellas, a restaurant/bar, a kids play area, hammocks, floats in the water, water sports to rent and local people selling their goods (bargain with them...they will start with a high price). The island of Freeport is still re-building from the 2016 hurricane, so there is a lot of damage that you can still see. The ship docks in an industrial area, so do an excursion because the only thing to do right at the port is shop. The beach there is rocky and I heard a lot of people complaining about the port.

We did the See and Sea. We enjoyed the scenic ride around the island, our guide was informative and entertaining. The Nature Center has 3 birds and 2 snakes. The glass bottom shark seeing adventure was delivered as advertised and we had an incredible time on the water.

This port has fun things to do right off the ship like shopping, eating, music playing. We were supposed to do a snorkeling and dolphin experience excursion, but the water was too rough to do the snorkeling part. We had the option to cancel and get our money back, or upgrade to the dolphin encounter for the same price. We opted for the dolphin encounter and it was great! I would recommend that if you are looking for an excursion here.

Skip the BEACH! It was truly a money making thing. You pay to get to the beach, you pay to go on the beach, you pay for table, chair, umbrella, etc. once on the beach and of course, the watered down drinks was too costly for the amount of alcohol in drink. This was my least favorite of my cruise

We did an island tour in the morning, visiting a perfume factory, a gift shop (where we saw the souvenirs being handmade) and a market. I tried my first grilled conch and it was yummy! The driver (Almondo) was amazing and we learnt so many interesting facts about Freeport and the Bahamas in general. Once back at the ship we hired a driver (Rev Walker) and asked him to take us to a beach that has no tourists. He took us to the perfect place so we could have our lazy, Bahamas beach experience. He waited for us and took us back to the ship in time to embark. Another wonderful day.
