Even after all that the people of Freeport have been thur with the hurricane, their spirit is indomitable, and it shows. Their grace and dignity comes thru in all ways, and they are very happy to see you and to be there. Their smiles and laughter fills the air, even though they still have a long way to go. It was a true pleasure to visit them.

Terrible. There were a few tents of merchants selling tee-shirts, coffee mugs, souvenir kind of stuff. Definitely overpriced. There were a few cabs lined up to take cruisers into town (for a fee) which was about a 15/20 minute drive.

Very sad little port. I understand it is industrial. We enjoy the straw market last time. This time it was terrible. I understand the Pandemic was very hard on them

Definitely not your normal cruise port...It's a working, industrial port where you dock...but the Pirate's Cove Zipline and Water Park excursion was great...from the tour bus driver who was huge and named Tiny, told great dad jokes, and gave us such insightful info about the island, landmarks, history and current eventd...to the warm woman who met us at Pirate's Cove and shared the rules of the destination - which included having a shot with her at the bar. The food was very good...a traditional Sunday Bahamian Family meal.
