The island is beautiful but it was hit by a hurricane last season and there was significant damage. Many places were still closed

The kayak tour is a MUST DO!! The lunch was a bit shabby and there are no bathrooms. But the tour was so fun and the time at the beach was amazing!!!! The tour guides were funny and very informative.

A lot of debris and destruction still from recent hurricanes if you travel from the sea port. Haggling can become very frustrating. Easy place to loose a lot of money in but deals can be great. Friendly people though.

Poor Freeport. Hit by a hurricane in October 2016 and still recovering. Unless you're going snorkeling, diving, or just swimming there isn't anything to do there. People in Freeport have to go to Florida to buy things even groceries and have them shipped back. There are no grocery stores open our taxi driver told us.
