Wasn't a waste of time, but also not a must see either. I would suggest leaving it on the schdule.

We took a shore excursion at this point, and it was good, although we had to wait a very long time for a tender to take us bck to the base to meet our driver. He waited, which was very good, but the whole party was worried when were were delivered back 40 minutes late.

If you've never been, it's worth seeing Port Lucaya, beautiful water and yaghts. The dolphin experience is supposed to be wonderful, though I haven't done it personally. The beach and island is beautiful.

Curise dock is a long ways away from the town. But you can take a taxi and find things to do without going on a tour. Snorkeling was very good. I took a tour, but other people said they did it on their own from the beach. Wait to do shopping in the straw market in Nassau, but look here if you make it to town.

Port was neat and clean, shopping was 11 miles away, not a good feature and not much there. Overall, the beach was the best part of this port.
