Nice visit, toured the island. Well managed. All visiting areas were properly secured in order to ensure safety. I would have wanted to self explore other areas on the islands not owned/controlled by Carnival. But we understand that Safety is paramount in foreign countries.

This port is actually awful. It's just a shipyard. There's nothing nice to look at and no town for you to do anything in. No nearby beaches. There's a handful of shops and a Senor Frogs on the pier, and that's it. Don't expect to be able to swim or do anything else. I'm not sure how this ever became a cruise destination. The one thing that saved this from being 1 star was the excursion. We did a catamaran cruise and reef snorkel. The catamaran cruise was rough, but the snorkel was a great experience.

I was unimpressed with Freeport in general, but our excursion was good. We did a kayak tour with a beach visit. The kayak tour was good. A little monotonous, but fun to see the mangrove. The beach we visited was spectacular. Not too crowded. It almost felt like a private beach. Beautiful clear blue water. Our lunch was not great. Just plain sandwiches. I was very hungry so I ate it, but otherwise I wouldn't have even eaten any of it.

Wife stayed onboard, I went to casino and open air market. Casino was small, empty, and no real "play." The market was very pressured to buy something/anything.

We did a resort for a day and had a wonderful relaxing time. There was a beautiful infinity pool overlooking the ocean, optional water sports, and gorgeous beach. Booked through shore excursioneer

had a beach excursion which had a meal and drinks included. We had to board at 8:30 and stayed there until 12:30. If I had known the times before hand I would not have signed up for the drinks and meal- I think we should have left around 10:00/11:00 and got back at 2:00/3:00

Not the best of port stops. There is lots of shopping. Nothing really within walking distance. Best bet is probably to take an excursion, unless you're big on shopping.

We did the Taino beach Express excursion. We did not get the all inclusive food and drink. I'm glad we didn't. It was amazingly fun, not crowded at all and the staff were very friendly. The food was delicious! Drink prices are not unlike those on the ship.

VERY industrial, not walking friendly to beach, nothing but straw market (with AGGRESSIVE sales people) near ship......Senor Frogs and Fat Tuesday were the only 2 good close things. No desire to ever return there!
