Review summary

Overall I had a great time. Freeport sucks and I don't care to go back, but the ship was fun and had a great stuff and fun things to do. I know this ship is now being refurbished, so I'd be interested to see it after.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
We left over an hour late. Not sure why. There was also no sounding horn. Didn't affect anything, though.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The dining room was nice and the lido cafe was always stocked and clean. Food and service was delicious. My one complaint is that bar service seemed slower than normal. There were a couple of times where I was waiting 20 minutes to place an order.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
This ship's pool is much smaller than others, and the water slide into the pool also creates less swim space. There are more hot tubs than on other ships, including a very a large on on the top deck. The hot tubs were only warm on the first day. After that they were about body temperature.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The couple of shows I saw were great and the performers were definitely professionals.

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Staff was fantastic, as usual. Bar service seemed slower than normal, but bartenders were still great and friendly and made good drinks.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
It was small, but it was clean and had everything we needed.

Ship tip

Take Dramamine. It's a smaller ship and you definitely feel the ocean if swells are about 4ft.

Ports of call

Jacksonville, Florida

5 out of 5
Easy to get to the ship and on the ship.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

This port is actually awful. It's just a shipyard. There's nothing nice to look at and no town for you to do anything in. No nearby beaches. There's a handful of shops and a Senor Frogs on the pier, and that's it. Don't expect to be able to swim or do anything else. I'm not sure how this ever became a cruise destination. The one thing that saved this from being 1 star was the excursion. We did a catamaran cruise and reef snorkel. The catamaran cruise was rough, but the snorkel was a great experience.

Disembarkation

Dear lord, this was the longest ordeal. It took much longer and was less organized than the last cruise disembarkation that I experienced.
