Not much to do in town here. Some interesting historic houses, but this will only fill an hour. The port is more like a large shed with a restaurant and some shops.

We took an excursion to Baddeck, Nova Scotia which turned into a disaster. It was a long bus ride to get there and we were suppose to visit Baddeck (meaning actually seeing it) and then do the Bell Museum. Celebrity allowed someone to buy a ticket at the last minute and we were 15 minutes late leaving the port. Because of this, by the time we got to the Bell Museum and also guide forgetting the paperwork, we only had 20 minutes inside the Museum which was hardly enough time. Then we hurry back to the bus and the tour guide tells us that 2 people are missing and we wait for 20 minutes for these people. In the end, he realizes he made a mistake in counting - not a very happy bus load of people back to port because of so little time at the museum and not seeing Baddeck. Would not recommend this Celebrity excursion.

We went to the Fortress of Louisbourg. It is an awesome site. Unfortunately, the ship's excursion gave us less then 2 hours to explore. It is a full day destination.

Very nice port. Did some shopping and visited the lighthouse. Was absolutely beautiful and worth the drive.
