Review summary

Our mini suite was very nice, entertainment was excellent and we enjoyed Quebec City and Bar Harbor.  The rest of the ports were rather "ho-hum" and Sydney Nova Scotia was downright depressing!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
We 4 meals in the specialty restaurants. Cagney's Steakhouse was excellent. Le Bistro was very good. The art work in the Venetian Dining Room is absurd! Everyone was complaining about the silly pictures: large oil paintings around the DR that were defaced with paint..? joke? Aqua DR was very pretty.

Ship Quality

Very nice after recent re-furb. Unfortunately, Cagney's Champagne Bar is located directly outside the (enclosed) Cigar Bar. The smell of cigar smoke was very strong despite the enclosure.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Fabulous cabin close to forward elevators, Spacious with a decent sized balcony and of course a full sized tub n the bathroom which made the cruise great! Our cabin attendant, Alfredo was top notch; clean towels 2x/day, ice bucket always filled, always polite and smilling!

Ship tip

The ship size was just about perfect. not too big, not too small. Capacity 2,400 guests plus crew. I would definitely recommend a min-suite and the 11th floor is great. There is a family suite above, not a dining facility or pool deck, so it is quiet. We bough passes to the Thermal Therapy Spa

Ports of call

Quebec City, Quebec

Be sure to visit Le Petit Champlain, the charming village at the foot of Chateau Frontenac. You feel like you are in Paris!

Sydney, Nova Scotia

Very sad port. Almost nothing interesting to see and the little town is very run down. It used to be a coal mining town and what remains is not very pretty.

Halifax, Nova Scotia
