Review summary

Overall, we really enjoyed this trip! The leaves were late in changing, and it was gray most of the time, and even rainy, but it was still a great time!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Cruise food for 3,500 of your new friends? Hard to make it outstanding! However, the specialty steak restaurant was amazing!

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
There were lots of activities! We did't do a lot of that stuff, though. There was some spitty rain, and cooler temps for a lot of the week. October in the Northeast!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We only went to 1 show, a comic, and he was fantastic! There were so many people vying for a seat in the theater that we gave up after the first night. Didn't want to sit there for over an hour before the program began.

Children's Programs

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff were every where, and they were amazing! A lot of happy people, and they took very good care of us!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I thought the ship was very clean. I'm not sure I would sail on such a large ship again, though. The common areas were great and the ship was easy to get around in.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
This was our most expensive cruise ever, yet the cabin was the smallest I've ever seen for a balcony stateroom.

Ports of call

Quebec City, Quebec

Beautiful town!

Ville Saguenay, Quebec

Cute little town. We just got off and walked around.

Sydney, Nova Scotia

Cute little town. We just got off and walked around.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

Nice bustling port city. Excellent walk along the boardwalk right off the ship.

Portland, Maine

5 out of 5
Our favorite lobster restaurant was 1/2 mile away! However, with so many cruisers in port, we opted not to wait 1 1/2 hours to be seated. Found some nice shops nearby.

Bar Harbor, Maine

5 out of 5
Such a cute town! We enjoyed walking around.

Boston, Massachusetts

4 out of 5
Boston was easy to navigate. Just a cab over to the Freedom Trail for a nice walk in the rain.

Newport, Rhode Island

5 out of 5
The only real tour we took, the Breakers and Marble House. Both Vanderbilt "summer cottages". Interesting life they must have lead.

New York, New York

3 out of 5
We went straight to the airport. The Princess transfer worked well for us.

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
For some reason, the Customs and Immigration folks didn't get the memo that there were over 3,000 of us! We waited longer in line on shore than we did on the ship in comfort. They only had 3 stations opened when we got off, and we were over halfway down the list with a later flight. Pretty annoying.
