This is a beautiful area and I particularly liked where the Bay of Fundy meets the River and changes course periodically. It seemed like a nice city to visit.

Enjoyed our visit to St. John. We went on a bus tour and to the caves. Interesting area with the tide coming in and out. Had clam chowder soup at a place by the caves and it was very good. Between the lower tide and the high tide it was nice to see the area and caves.

St. John is attractive, with a few lovely (and very small) parks, but it has few interesting sights to see. Our excursion was a coach tour, the highlight of which was a visit to the Reversing Falls, where the St. John River flows upstream at high tide. It's quite interesting and extremely beautiful. Unfortunately, that's it.

I tried to see the the reversing currents when the bay o Fundy and the river meets. Took a boat trip on my own, but they don't tell you that it only occurs every few hours so I wasted my money. Must buy the excursion through the cruise tours, because they buy the time slot when it happens
