Charlottetown, as well as the rest of PEI, is lovely. Just remember to slow your pace down to leisurely and your experience will be so much better. Locals are unfailingly polite and pleasant, return the favor.

Don't miss the Falconry tour. It's a once in a lifetime experience. We both loved it and the host is outstanding.
