Love this port as well. Need to take a tender ferry to do any excursions but once there so Much to do. And having a lobster lunch or dinner is a must! One of my favorite ports on this cruise is Bar Harbar!

I have to say Bar Harbour has great scenic views, parks and history. The only negative I can say is the people. I found the people there very unwelcoming and rude. They must not need the tourist dollars the ship brings in as 95% of the indigenous population didn't want us there. Great scenery, but they need to change the people.

Booked a 4 hour tour with MDI Tours. Evan met us at port and drove us around everywhere! Can't say enough good things about this tour. He drove us all over the island and off. Along with area and historical facts he gave his perspective as a local. We enjoyed this tour so much!!! Afterwards we had lobster rolls at Side Street Cafe - great and shopped our way back to the pier. Was a wonderful town and wonderful port. Would love to go back.

Excellent port. You dock in an area that is walkable to many restaurants and stores. We did the Best of Both Worlds Tour which was well done. We got to see Acadia National Park as well as sites in Bar Harbor. Our tour guide was excellent. The food is very expensive! We paid $25 for a lobster roll!

Love bar harbor! We didn't cruise here, we drove and stayed a week. Very charming little town with beautiful scenery. We were there in May before the crowds. Tons of hiking, blueberries, lobster, shopping, and alcohol.

Tender process was disappointing at this port for passengers not purchasing an excursion. Following the directions given on the ship, we did not get a Tender Pass until we were ready to leave the ship. Unfortunately there was a 1.5 hour wait to leave the ship after we picked up our passes. We could have picked up the passes and then eaten our breakfast which would have maximized our time versus creating a long wait simply to leave the ship.
