Very cute town - loved the shopping and the bus tour of Acadia National Park.

I loved this small town. Ate lunch (yes, lobster of course) with my wife in the port while we watched the marine traffic.

We took the bus excursion up to Acadia National Park- which was primarily on the bus. The bus driver was knowledgeable and spoke as we toured Bar Harbour on the way up to Cadillac Mountain. We were given approximately 20 minutes at the summit to get out and enjoy the spectacular view. It was awesome. Then we walked around the beautiful seaside town of Bar Harbour, which is not ‘flat’, but very small. Shops repeatedly had the same items and relatively high prices. Seafood lunch in town was costly- nearly 100$ but a necessity as this was the only town we tendered at- which made it more challenging to go back and forth to the ship. Once you get on land in Bar Harbour, plan to stay there for the day. What a beautiful little seaside town.

This was the best short excursion that we went on. Had a great lighthouse excursion where we even saw Martha Stewart’s house.

Ship does not tell you there is a free shuttle 3 block from port that takes you to Acadia National Park. Oldest on east Coast 47,00 Acres. ok at free maps they will give you to determine what router you want. You can get off and hike or just stay on bus. Buses pick up every 20 to 30 minutes. beautiful scenery. Get off the bus and take a walk. You are suppose to have a park pass that you buy ate the visitor center. I notice many people did not know this and they let them on the bus anyway.

We did the Acadia National Park tour. It was a shuttle bus excursion with only two short stops in the Park (Summit and Blow Hole). But this was a disappointing way to see such a beautiful park. Other passengers reported that the Acadia Hiking tour was better. Shopping in Bar Harbor was plentiful, but a lot of stores were selling the same tourist t-shirts and junk. finding the occasional boutique, crafty, or unique store was a challenge, but was rewarding when found. We did have to tender in from the ship for this port.

This was a great place to walk around. An easy walk all around town. the store prices were reasonable and the people were very friendly.

Tendering service was horrible which left little time ashore. The return tendering line wait was 30-40- minutes wait.
