Hike and Float was just awesome. There is a local bar there as well that has the best tater tot nachos with chili. A little pricey but still very good. Local Alaskan Ale is highly recommended.

We did the sea otter and wildlife boat trip and it was just a delight with lots to see and a very determined boat captain that we should spot a whale.

Nothing there and the excursion we took was on a boat to view wildlife...only it was freezing and raining and cold...couldn't see a thing..VERY uncomfortable..we should have been given an opprunity to cancel because of the weather.

Don't use the Sitka Tribal Tours for any excursions. They failed to meet their committments several times in one engagement.

Took another city tour and saw the dancers at the Tribal center. Saw alot of eagles..our driver knew the best places. Got to meet the master totem carver and learned a lot about totem poles

We walked far into town to the local supermarket, fifteen minutes from the port. The people were friendly, the coffee was good.

A visit to the local Heritage Center to learn the history and ride or just walk around the town. It is a rain forest so don;t expect too much sunshine but lots of lush greenery.
