Sleepy fishing town, but lots to do - Take an 'I-did-a-ride Tour' and walk out to Exit Glacier!

there is a shuttle that goes around the city which is nice, but there is also a train that takes you to anchorage and it is 4 hours long. The sight was also amazing!

Adorable town, much less 'commercial' than the others on the itinerary. The Sea Life Marine Center is a MUST SEE, remember that the admisision fee (2015 $20.) is well worth the price, as it helps save our magnificent nature.

Terrible check-in process. Not well organized. And prepare for the 4 hour train ride from Anchorage to Seward. Some good views, but after 30 minutes, zzzzzzzzzzz.

Not much at this port other than union workers handling your luggage and boarding the ship.

Not much to do here besides board the ship. Hats off to Celebrity for making the boarding process a breeze.

Overnight pre-embarkation Anchorage Hilton stay abysmal! Rooms assigned by Regent so small you could not even fully open your suitcase. And bathroom disgusting—tub barely drained, thick soap scum in the tub ON ARRIVAL! Those shipmates assigned to the Anchorage Marriot said it was “great” but everyone at the Hilton complained bitterly. Up your game, Regent—not a good start for a “luxury adventure “!

We did not have an excursion with the ship, but we booked the Alaskan Railroad for our trip to Anchorage. It wasn't until later that I learned that we could have arranged that through the ship. Really enjoyed the ride to Anchorage.
