For history buffs, the North Pacific Salmon Cannery tour is a half day of fascinating, eye-opening insights into the very hard life of Chinese, indigenous and white cannery workers, both before and after automation of the process. Our guide, Corbin, did a wonderful job of bringing this quiet place to life. Very nice consolation prize for skipping Victoria, our original final port before San Francisco.

We arrived at Prince Rupert at 1pm and departed at 10pm - what a waste of time in a port that offers very little. We felt that we should have been given more time in Juneau instead. We did a Prince Rupert City Highlights and Museum excursion which was just a drive around town followed by entry to the museum. Was supposed to be a 2 hour tour but only lasted 1 hour 20mins.
