We walked around the port. It was completely walkable. We found a place where you could rent a electric car. We rented two of them because thier was 5 of us it only held 4. We drove all over the town. Stopped watch the float planes take off and land. After turning in the car we went eat Alaskan crab. Than looked at some shops. It was than time to get back on board.

Do the rainforest canopy zipline adventure. Ask for Rory and Scotty as your guides. It was a blast.

We walked through town, Creek Street, and saw the lumberjack show. The show was a bit corny, but also very entertaining. Even in the rain the scenery eas spectacular.

We did a rainforest sanctuary and totem walk. Very fun! Make sure to stop by the Salmon Market! We loved the salmon so much that we ordered more online once we got home (and we live in the Pacific NW).

Our excursions at this port were the Saxman village to view the totem poles and the lumberjack show. I learned a lot about the totem history and the history of the people in the village. I had heard that the lumberjack show was a bit Disney. I would somewhat agree. It was a bit goofy and scripted but the skills were still impressive.

Really disappointed with how commercial it looks. All of the brochures highlight the really colorful historic buildings, but they are several blocks back after a lot of commercial buildings. The sales people were coming out in the street trying to sell us stuff.

We were blessed with great weather when we arrived. Only a little drizzle in the morning. We took a float plane excursion, went to the lumberjack show, walked creek street and beyond. It was a fun port.

We arrived there without a specific plan, other than to find a way to see the town/learn about the Alaskan culture. We found a fun excursion, and even saw a bear and eagles!

This port we had an excursion we booked outside of the cruise. It was a ziplining tour with Southwest Exposure and they were fantastic. I found my deal on Groupon and it was worth it. Once we were back at the port, again many little shops and local eateries. This was a great place to grab some fish 'n' chips!!
