We did a raft ride at the Mendenhall Glacier and just had the best time. Our guide was Master Oarsmen Connor and he was was adorable and funny. These are class 1 rapids so nothing that you would need to worry about for your kids, but it really was a lot of fun. On the way back, the bus driver let us off in the town and my husband and I went to Tracy's Crab Shack. Be prepared for the sticker shock on this. One crab leg was $28! Granted it was huge, but if you're hankering for Alaskan king crab, know that you're going to pay.

Good weather prompted us to ride Mt. Roberts tram right away, before it could cloud over. We had great views of the ships in port, and the town. Fun little area and trails at the top. We also took a shuttle to Mendenhall Glacier and Nugget Falls. Don't forget an empty refillable water bottle to scoop up some glacier water from the lake. We drank that on the walk back. Refreshing! Saw bears in the trees near the parking lot before taking the shuttle back to town. Visited Red Dog Saloon (fun!) and did some shopping for souvenirs.

Loved visiting the glacier! Wish I could have spent hours here instead of just 20 minutes. Coastal helicopters was fantastic. The pilot was very down to Earth and showed us some cool spots in the glacier

If you just want to walk around town, not much to see. You gotta stop at the red dog saloon good food, great piano player. Good pizza in the old hanger building, it's the blue building....

Juneau was awesome! Loved visiting Mendenhall Glacier! Stunning scenery. We happened to hit Alaska during a rare heatwave. It was quite warm, even by the glacier, but well worth it!

We had a wonderful time in Juneau! Decided to take the Mount Roberts Tram to the top of Mount Roberts. The view from the top was so captivating. Must do again!

Whale watching at its finest. We saw two separate Orca pods and another two pods of humpback whales. I don't see how we could have seen more whales in a single 3 hour adventure. Spectacular.

We took the Best of Juneau excursion and it was fabulous. We saw lots of whales and bald eagles. It was a beautiful day and this was a perfect excursion. We got off the bus just before the ship to do a little shopping in town and it is such a lovely place.

Went to Mendenhall Glacier was beautiful. Has a Walmart if you want to take a city bus and get away from jewelry stores and salmon hawkers lol

You must go Whale watching with Juneau Whale Watching through Juneau Tours right on the dock. The crew is very skilled at what they do. We saw 16 whales, really! My husband said jokingly, it was a "whale petting tour". CPT Dirk, AJ, and Christian were wonderful! Also loved the Mendenhall Glacier! Must walk it all! Breathtaking!
