Juneau was excellent. Weather was fantastic. We took the Mt. Roberts Tram and hiked around up top. I am scared of heights but the tram was great! We went to Mendenhall Glacier by local shuttle bus. Well worth the trip! The walk to the glacier and Nugget Falls is very easy. We walked around Juneau where we had lunch,

After walking by scores of tourist and jewelry shops mostly owned by cruise lines you can tour the state capitol in about 2 minutes by foot. It's got to be the smallest capitol in the US. You see some homeless alcoholic looking people wandering along the way. The tram is fun to take if the weather is nice. We had rain again, so no tram. Go check out the Mendenhall glacier if it's not raining.

Except for us missing our tour and the rain, it was breathtaking. It was totally our fault but having an elderly with us and in the rain did not make it any easier. i just wish I can get some kind of refund as we had to book a last-minute tour to make up for it.

Whale watching tour by the Allen Marine Tours is a must do. Also, did the tram to view the harbor.

Our tour was a "once in a life time adventure". It was the most breath taking scenic picturesque of my life. Called "Pilots Choice Two Touch Down Glacier Helicopter Tour. We landed on 2 glaciers, flew all over the area.

Lots of shopping, but you have to take a bus to town. Not a long ride, but a bus ride just the same....Lots of shops to peruse!

We did the canoe to glacier excursion but Disney was booked full. We did it outside of Disney and ended up canoeing with the Disney people and had our own bus to/from ship so ended up being great and much more personnel with learning about Juneau from our native bus driver. We were worried about booking outside of cruise line but our excursions were great and no issues getting to them or back to ship in time.

Want to stay here overnight or longer next time(so maybe a flight to AK instead of cruise😜) as, besides Juneau, there are other cities you wish you stay there overnight and have a couple of days to do as much as you want.
