Very nice but crowded. Three or four ships in port. Rented car (Do NOT use Juneau Car Rental because you'll never find it-NOT DOWNTOWN) and drove to Mendenhall Glacier. Crowded but a spectacular view. Drove North as far as we could visiting Shrine of St. Therese (quiet/beautiful/saw sea otters here on the beach), many parks, coves, trails, Eagle Beach and as far North as we could go, until road ended. Beautiful scenery.

Juneau is a nice port, but the excursions are expensive and it is usually crowded with other ship's passengers. It is unfortunate the most of the main street is lined with jewelry stores and other shops that are promoted during the ships discussion of the port.

So we took Norwegian Bliss to Alaska. First stop was Juneau. We had contracted an external provider for whale watching and Mendenhall glacier tour, but they desisted on the glacier. Still had an awesome experience whale watching, saw 4 humpback whales real close. A few bald eagles as well. All in all a nice experience.
