Juneau appeared to be the favorite port amongst the people on our cruise. Very scenic and beautiful town. Mendenhall glacier was awesome to see. Had a private group tour with Judy from Juneau limousine service. Judy gives an awesome tour. Highly recommend Juneau limo service for any group looking for transportation or custom tours!

We did the Mendenhall Glacier and Salmon Bake, booked through RC. We had only 1 hour at the glacier and it is not enough. The salmon at the bake was good but the whole bake itself was underwhelming, with lots of bugs, so beware. There was a creek with all the salmon leading to waterfalls. That was neat. We found out afterwards that you can pay for a shuttle from the town to the glacier. We would probably do that to give us more time at the glacier. We would also spend more time in town.

We did the canoe trip out to Mendenhall Glacier and the waterfall. It was fun but be prepared that it will rain and dress appropriately! Loved paddling past the glaciers. Cool stuff. The town had a lot of shops.

We went gold panning and had the Salmon lunch. Gold panning was fun and interesting. We actually panned in Gold Creek in the same manner as the original prospectors. The children were delighted with their little gold flakes. The salmon at lunch was some of the best that I have had, and I live in Washington State. The brown sugar sauce was delicious!

We had a wonderful day. It was rainy which we loved and the shore excursion was fantastic. The glacier gardens are not to be missed.

Would have liked more time at this port.. Did the canoeing and glacier hike which was great with beautiful views. Very strenuous!! Had only 30 minutes to board after excursion, so unable to explore the town. Bliss was waiting for us to leave, so felt like we were rushed out of there..

Excursion was canceled when we arrived on ship. Booked different one and it wasn’t worth the money. Took half hour bus ride to glacier and it turned out to a self guided tour for one hour. All walking and back on bus for another twenty minutes to get on old boat to look for whales.

In Juneau we went out to mendenhall glacier the fun thing about this was our bus driver to the glacier was the first cousin of our bus driver in hoonah. The glacier was very impressive I was happy to see glaciers and I'm sad to see them retreat so much.
