We enjoyed visiting the spit but time was limited so we didn't go into the town itself.

Holland provided a free shuttle to the middle of the "spit" in front of the Salty dawg saloon. Rented a car for the day to see the area and stop at the brewery and winery.

We just made it to the strip and didn't get into town. I would have loved more time here. We took the bird watching boat trip out to Gull Island. It was great!

We toured Homer on our own a few years ago and saw, at that time, what we wanted to experience.

Ok place. Good museums. Unless you are a strong walker, the bus stops are silly and not near the museums.
