Disappointing Caribbean Cruise
Regal Princess
Sail date: April 02, 2017
An excellent, cruise. We departed Fort Lauderdale on April 2, landed in Hamburg, Germany, on April 17. Weather during the second week was a disappointment: at our first port (Ponta Delgada), our guide said we were there on the coldest day of the year and it had been 20 degrees warmer a week earlier; in Germany, our guide told us "worst weather in 20 years"! So we didn't use the pools or hot tubs the second week of the cruise, but it didn't dampen our spirits. Note: the same cruise in 2018 is scheduled two weeks later than this one. As expected, excellent entertainment and excellent food. We met some people we enjoyed visiting with so much, that we closed the dining room every night the second week. Regal Princess was in good condition, no major breakdowns. I chose this cruise because of the sea days, port of Normandy (for D Day excursion), and ending in Germany. May take this cruise again next year.

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)
Been here many times, convenient but nothing exciting.; actually a little bit cool.
Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida
Cruised from Fort Lauderdale 20 times, and know the port well. We did take a river cruise (!) excursion and enjoyed it.
Bonaire, Netherlands Special Municipality
Rented a golf cart from Bonaire Cruisers and drove the island. Will do this again.
Off-road island tour was interesting.
Just walked around the port area, clean, comfortable, convenient.
Enchanted Princess
Don't wait to cruise: Princess is in business!
Visited Emerald Beach on our own, and it went well. We'll do that again.
Took an island bus tour, rum tasting, beach time.
Very nice. Again, a few more sun umbrellas would be helpful.
Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras
Actually visited neighbors from Indiana who now live in Roatan, who took us on an island tour - looks like a very nice place to live.
Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida
Cruise port is Incredibly convenient to airport.
Regal Princess
Twice I made dinner reservations for a group of 14, and it worked well. Head waiter accommodated my request to provide hard boiled eggs so we could knock-eggs on Easter. Waitress knew our names and preferences the third night.
