Cruise Tracy Arm Fjord, Alaska
We were unable to get here due to the weather - our butler said that the captain of our boat always chooses to skip it. He did stop at a scenic place though and spun in a couple circles so we could take in the beauty.
I had been wanting to go here for about 20 years so my expectations were high. We were only at port for about 5 hours in the evening so not much to do but shop and go out for dinner. We ate on the pier but to be honest the food on the boat was much better. Would have liked to have seen the famous gardens or their markets (that are only open on weekends I am told).
Fun little town. We did the rock climbing which was a bit dangerous in the rain -but we all survived. It was July 4th when we were here so they shut down the streets for a party (in the rain LOL). The brewery was super fun to hang out at after the excursion.
We did the canoe trip out to Mendenhall Glacier and the waterfall. It was fun but be prepared that it will rain and dress appropriately! Loved paddling past the glaciers. Cool stuff. The town had a lot of shops.
Do yourself a favor and spend a day or two in Seattle. Visit the Space Needle, the Underground Tour, Pike Place Market and have dinner on the pier! The duck tour is fun for all ages too. If you are an airplane fan, their Museum of Aviation is awesome.
