Why are cruises addictive?

Hello wonderful peeps!

Just wanting to ask why you are or are not addicted to cruises?

I have seen many people who've been on multiple cruises. I'm asking because we just purchased a vacation plan (aka timeshare) and I tried to book a place but had a really difficult time finding an available unit. Or if they were available, they were somewhere in Asia or South America - not doable with just 9 days off of work. I'm thinking of selling our timeshare and just sticking to cruises. Even though I haven't even gone on my first cruise, I think it's something I'm going to like.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. And really I want to thank this group for being friendly and patient with all the questions.
