How do you pack your suitcase - fold clothes flat, roll them or do you use packing cubes to keep similar items organized? Perhaps a combination?

I just pull them out of the closet and lay them in the suitcase, hangers and all.

Some things go into vacuum bags. Some get folded. Dress shirts / pants go into packing cubes.
coming home is a different story . I’m like Daffy Duck trying to get the genie back into the lamp.

A bit of both. Some are packed flat and some are rolled whichever accommodates and gets everything in.

Depends on the item but before I zip it up, I will cover the items inside in a plastic bag. Something I had learned as a GI with they wanted to play war games with us and leave my duffel bag out in the weather.
I hang all my clothes on the various dust-covered home-gym equipment in our bedroom and Amy puts it all in the suitcases. That’s normal, right?

I used to always fold our things flat, but now use the packing cubes and love them. They can be lifted out of the suitcase and set right into a drawer to keep everything organized and neat. I've never had any luck when I've tried the rolling style - things come out more wrinkled.
