What Cruise Lines Need to Improve on Ships

I think that in general, manners are going by the wayside.

Door slammers!!!----We all know that we aren't supposed to leave the balcony doors open since it screws up the air system. Which gives rise to folks complaining over the air conditioning not working. Okay, so your's truly must admit to breaking the rules too. Most door slamming originates from that as well. Here is a recent experience:

"If you leave the door open you have to be real careful due the pressure differential though. In December on the Mediterranean we ran into some real nice weather. During cocktail hour we opened the sliding door, I was on the balcony and wife was just inside. I told her if someone knocks on the cabin door don't open it until I have a chance to close the balcony door. She forgot, the Steward knocked with our clean laundry bag. I didn't hear the knock. She opened the door and took the bag but the wind was really screaming out the door into the corridor, she lost her grip on the door, it slammed shut almost cutting the laundry bag in half."

I've never chimed in on the door slamming because quite honestly, I have never experienced it on any of the Princess ships I've been on ... this is in a wide range of cabins in various locations...I wonder if they have a different type of mechanism on their doors that prevents the slamming ... any other Princess cruisers know what I'm saying?

Or at anytime. I make an effort not to slam doors. Personally I think people are in their own world and disrespectful. Just because your on a ship and vacation why do people forget decencies? Same thing as we all discussed. Wild kids and drunks

#5 is easy-- segregate the complainer to a special chair on the aft balcony---- with an ejector button.....

I don't know what you can do about number 5. But i've heard a lot of them.

I agree with all of them. If anyone remembers awhile back I started a discussion about Door Slammers. I'll never understand why people cannot control their door to the balcony......
